The Berlin Travel festival was born and raised here at mamapapacola. Bernd Neff, Bob Shahrestani, and Gabor Thier founded the festival in 2016. In the early days, the design team at mamapapacola worked closely with the festival team on developing the brand: namely, solidifying the festival concept, creating content, as well as developing its look, feel, and tonality both online and in person. Today, the festival reflects and presents all the ways in which travel and travelers have changed. A three-day stage program with speakers, presenters, auctions, demos and games is complemented by an exhibition floor that brings together brands, hotels, travel experiences, as well as gadgets and gear from all over the world. The festival—which is held in collaboration with ITB, the world’s largest travel trade show—is geared specifically toward travelers. In its first year, we were pleased to welcome more than 10K visitor, both locals and tourists alike. It’s been a wild ride and we look forward to many more years of travel-mania every March.
